Atletico Madrid president Cerezo lays down plans for Alvarez

The former Manchester City striker is a target for Barcelona, with Arsenal and Chelsea also keen.

But Cerezo is adamant Atletico have no plans to sell Alvarez this summer.

"He is an Atlético Madrid player and he has a contract with us," said Cerezo. "He is worth a lot because he is with us - and he is not for sale."

Álvarez has scored 43 goals and 14 assists in a total of 96 competitive matches for the Spanish giants.

His contract with Atlético runs until the summer of 2030.
