The Argentina international joined Atletico this week from Botafogo and has signed a deal to 2030.
Speaking to Atletico's media channels,. Almada said: "I'm very happy, very happy. Coming to Atlético was one of my dreams, I've been dreaming about it for a long time, and thank God I'm here. So much commitment, so much work, so very happy. We all know what Atlético is, one of the biggest clubs in the world, there's nothing else to add."
On what people can expect from him, he continued: "Friendly, charismatic, and on the pitch I'll give everything for my teammates and give my heart to Atleti.
"Aside from the club's history, I have a great relationship with Angel Correa. When I was younger, he always gave me shirts. I watched every game and always wanted them to win. I started to grow very attached to the club and dreamed of playing here."
On favourite Atleti players, Almada added: “Kun (Aguero, ed.), Falcao, Niño Torres, Angel (Correa), Luis Suárez… There are so many.”
As for Cholo Simeone, he said: “I spoke to him and he showed me how happy he was, and I showed him how happy I was too. We can’t wait to work together.”
And a comment on the Metropolitano: “From what I’ve seen on TV, they seem like a really good crowd. I can’t wait to play and get to know the people a little better. It was my dream, and I’ll defend the shirt as if it were my last game.”
