The son of French legend and World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane, Luca played for France youth teams up to U20 level. He also came through the Real Madrid youth system.

Luca, 27, has been called up for the first time by Algeria coach Vladimir Petkovic for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Somalia (October 9 in Oran) and Uganda (October 14 in Tizi-Ouzou).
"Luca deserves this chance," said Petkovic.
