Alemany named sports director with Atletico Madrid

This role will see him work alongside Carlos Bucero, the club's general director of football, coordinating all activities for the first team, Atlético Madrid, and the youth academy.

Alemany's appointment represents a personal choice by Bucero, aimed at strengthening the club's sporting management. 

He returns to football after almost two years out of the game after leaving Barcelona.

Alemany was football director with Barca from 2021 to 2023.
