Andre Cury is a former Barca scout and insists former Palmeiras starlet Estevao has a "special affection" for the Blaugrana.
He told Cadena SER: "In 2018, I started making reports about Estevao at Barcelona. In 2019, I took (former sporting director Eric) Abidal to Brazil to watch one of his games, and you could already see, at 11 years old, that he was already different and that he wanted to be a Ballon d'Or winner.
"After I left Barça, we talked about Estevao in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. We went to the offices to offer the player because we believed he would have a great future in world football."
Indeed, Cury admits he can still see Estevao and Lamine Yamal playing together for Barca in the future.
He added, "Think about the Neymar-Messi duo: it's better than having just (Lionel) Messi or just Neymar."
