Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick was reportedly 'days away' from leaving the club on loan before picking up an injury at the FIFA Club World Cup earlier in the summer.

The 19-year-old played just 353 minutes throughout Real Madrid’s La Liga campaign last season, scoring one goal in the process.

Competing against the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, along with Gonzalo Garcia, who had a breakout tournament at the Club World Cup, Endrick was set to leave on loan.

According to Cadena Cope a deal had been struck with Real Sociedad and was “days away” from going through.

Endrick then picked up a hamstring injury during training in the USA and the move consequently fell through.
