Reaching the fifth round for the first time since their record-extending 14th triumph in 2019-20, Arsenal come up against League One side Mansfield Town at Field Mill.
Arteta is expected to heavily rotate his for the clash after a tough 1-0 win against Brighton in midweek alongside a busy schedule which has taken its toll on the Gunners’ squad.
Not since the 2012-13 season have Arsenal suffered a fifth-round exit in the FA Cup and Arteta’s side are firm favourites heading into Saturday’s game.
Arsenal will be without a number of key players including Ben White (Other), Myles Lewis-Skelly (suspended) and William Saliba (Ankle/Foot Injury) as he looks towards Marli Salmon, Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori to fill the gaps.
Further up the pitch, Arteta will be without Mikel Merino (Ankle/Foot Injury) and Martin Odegaard (knee) who he gave an update on before the Brighton clash.
“Martin is the other one. Maybe (he could be back soon), we will see how comfortable he is in certain actions.”
Other players will be in need of a rest such as Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka but are not ruled out for the game as Arteta tries to reach the next round with the strongest squad possible.
