Everton and Sunderland collide at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for an all Premier League clash in the FA Cup this weekend. The Toffees last won the tournament all the way back in 1995 and will be seeking to bypass the Black Cats to reach the fourth round.
Moyes embarrassed by VAR officials
Moyes first spoke on Michael Keane's three-game ban, which the club appealed earlier this week only to be rejected by a Football Association panel.
"It shouldn't be any games (banned).
"I am more embarrassed for whoever is on VAR. This is a young referee doing only his third or fourth game and VAR gave him a terrible decision.
"Looking for the smallest things, they are."
"What Keane has done is a three game (ban) and a sending off, but the tackle was a nothing in the game and not recognised by VAR or the referee and nothing was given for it. Sounds as if they have got all the things in the wrong places at the moment."
Does Moyes feel hard done by decisions?: "I didn't want to discuss any of the others because they're all gone and in the past, but now you bring them up, it makes me think there maybe have been a few more that have gone against us. The recent ones are hard to take."
Grealish was wrong to clap the referee
Keane wasn't the only Everton player sent off against Wolves this week as teammate Jack Grealish was handed two yellow cards, both for dissent, in the final minutes. Moyes opened up on the England star sarcastically clapping the referee who received backlash after the game.
"I thought Jack Grealish was wrong, but since then I have been shown other players who have clapped the referee, and it has not returned in another booking or a sending off.
"We have seen handballs that we have not been given as well.
"Now you mention it, I do think there have been a few (decisions against Everton.)"
Finally, Moyes moved from one England star to another as he spoke on goalkeeper Jordan Pickford who faces his former side Sunderland in what will be a welcome reunion.
"We have other players who want to play but Jordan has been the number one goalkeeper here.
"He made an outstanding save the other night for us. We hope he is fit and available to play."
