Liam Rosenior has provided an update on three Chelsea players that were missing from the squad in their 5-1 FA Cup win over Charlton on Saturday (January 10).

The 41-year-old made a great first impression as his side beat Championship Charlton in his debut game, progressing to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Rosenior left several of Chelsea’s big names on the bench, but Cole Palmer, Reece James, and Malo Gusto missed out on the squad entirely.

Speaking after the game, Rosenior confirmed that it was only a precaution, saying: "Malo, Cole and Reece were precautionary and they had minor tweaks from the Fulham game. We have such a good squad so I don't want to take risks."

Chelsea face Arsenal in the first leg of their Carabao Cup clash with Premier League leaders Arsenal on Wednesday (January 14).
