A first-half penalty from Habib Diarra secured the Black Cats' fourth round triumph.
“There are no easy games in the FA Cup,” Le Bris said. “We played here last season and struggled, as we lost 2–0.
“The lads were ready to face a game built around direct long balls played in behind our centre-backs.
“They wanted to play for second balls, and that was more or less the story of the game. We managed it properly in the second half.
“We had to deal with a lot of long balls and long throws, but when we had the opportunity to score, we took it.
“The lads were well-connected and aware of the importance of the competition.
“It was an important game for us and for the fans," he continued.
"That makes it a hard game to play, but the energy was positive.
“We want to respect this competition and play for each other, play for the badge, and we’ll look forward to seeing who we get in tomorrow’s draw."
