Brentford captain Nathan Collins admitted frustration after their FA Cup shootout defeat to West Ham.

Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen swapped goals with Brentford striker Igor Thiago as the two teams finished extra-time at 2-2.

In the shootout, Dango Ouattara fluffed his Panenka attempt for Brentford, so seeing West Ham win on penalties, 5-3.

“It’s frustrating, especially with the manner of going out on penalties,” centre-back Collins afterwards.

“We wanted a cup run this year. We felt like we had it in us and the squad was good enough for it, so it’s a really tough one to take.

“We dug in and definitely had chances to win the game in extra-time, but it’s still very frustrating not going through.”
