Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was delighted with his debutants in Sunday's FA Cup win against Wigan Athletic.

The 4-0 fourth round win saw two home debuts for 16-year-old Marli Salmon, who replaced William Saliba, and Tommy Setford, who came for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

"Well, they deserve to be there, they are part of us," Arteta said. "They are with us every single day and they need to taste how it is. You want to have everybody involved and they need to feel that they have a chance to play."

On goalkeeper Setford, Arteta also stated: "I think everybody has to feel that he’s got a chance, and if there are players, one of them would be Tommy for his attitude and the way he helps everybody every single day.

"So if we have a chance to play him in some minutes, we have to try to do it. I think he was very happy."
