Arsenal picked up eight straight wins in a dominant league-phase campaign as they sent a clear message to the rest of Europe in their hunt for their first European trophy.
The Gunners head to Germany on the back of their fourth straight victory in all tournaments with their latest coming against Mansfield Town in the FA Cup.
William Saliba missed Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round clash due to an ankle injury he picked up against Brighton last week.
However, he was spotted training at the Sobha Realty training centre on Tuesday morning and reports state that he is ready to earn his place back against Leverkusen which is great news for Arteta as he rotates his starting eleven.
Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi also missed the clash as they were handed a much-needed rest by Arteta who is navigating a busy schedule at the moment as his side remains in all four competitions.
Riccardo Calafiori also struggled against Mansfield before being taken off, but reports reveal that he featured alongside Saliba in training ahead of the Leverkusen clash where he is said to be available.
Martin Odegaard, Ben White, and Mikel Merino all remain absent from training however as Arteta searches for solutions which may include youngster Max Dowman who recently returned from training.
