The England international’s fine season culminated with a Europa League final against Freiburg, in which he became the youngest player in history to score and assist.
His first goal contribution was a lovely cross into midfielder Youri Tielemanns, who then volleyed home to open the scoring.
Rogers then scored Villa’s third to all but secure their first major European trophy since 1982 just before the hour mark.
