Chelsea will aim to overturn a one-goal deficit when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on Tuesday night in what should be an intense clash.
Fine strikes from Ben White, Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi cancelled out an Alejandro Garnacho brace in the first leg and Arsenal will be hoping to hold on to that lead and make their way to the final.
Arsenal beat Leeds United at the weekend whilst Chelsea came back to beat West Ham United as the two sides head into the game in fine form.
Arteta’s side may have their confidence shaken, however, as they will miss three players including midfielders Max Dowman (ankle) and Mikel Merino (fractured foot) as Arteta looks towards the likes of Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal’s attack will also be without Bukayo Saka due to a hip injury which Arteta commented on his pre match press conference.
"It doesn't look like something too serious. Whether he's going to be available for tomorrow or the weekend, we'll see."
The odds are stacked against Chelsea heading into the game, but such injuries may give the Blues a boost as they seek their first trophy of the season.
