Wonderkid Nico O’Reilly scored two goals in the span of four minutes in the second half to secure the silverware for Man City.
The EFL Cup marks the first trophy Semenyo, 26, has won since joining Pep Guardiola’s side from Bournemouth in January.
Semenyo was a constant threat throughout the game, causing Hincapie plenty of problem before Mikel Arteta took him off in the 65th minute.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Semenyo aimed a sly dig at the Arsenal defender, saying: “I just have that freedom to do what I want (on the wing), get at defenders and cause problems, I had Hincapie running around a little bit…"
Ian Wright, who was on punditry duty, then interrupted and joked: "You had him on his hind legs bro!"
Semenyo then responded with: "That’s just what I do. As soon as he got booked, he was backing off a lot, so it gave me the opportunity to drive at him and get in the box."
