Games this weekend will kick off later than usual to raise awareness of the 'Every Minute Matters' campaign which helps highlight the importance of acting quickly when performing life-saving CPR.
Former England footballers Micah Richards, Jermain Defoe and Glenn Hoddle are part of campaign's ambassadors for the cause which has already saved countless lives.
Bristol Rovers defender Tom Lockyer is also an ambassador after he collapsed on the pitch during the Championship play-off final against Coventry before suffering a cardiac arrest seven months during a Premier League fixture against Bournemouth.
"What happened to me can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time," said Lockyer.
"Every year, more than 40,000 people in the UK suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and most of them never make it home.
"I'm here today because of the transformative power of CPR as every minute matters when it comes to saving a life.
"This February, we want everyone to get behind this life-saving initiative, learn the skills and be ready to step in because your actions could give someone else the chance I was given."
Sky Sports report that the current number of people who have learned CPR since the campaign launched currently sits at over 450,000.
The campaign highlights that eight out of 10 cardiac arrests outside of hospital happen in the home, proving how important CPR is for the average person.
