Southampton are already feeling the effects of being booted out of the Championship play-off final.

The Saints were removed from the EFL's showpiece event and handed a four-point deduction for next season after admitting to spying on Ipswich Town and Oxford United's training sessions, alongside Middlesbrough, before their play-off semi-final first leg.

Boro have since replaced Southampton in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, despite failing to win either of their two-legged ties, and this decision will have a widespread impact on the club.

Not only have the players and staff missed out on the possibility of earning bonuses and returning to the Premier League, but some already want to leave St Mary's.

According to BILD Stuttgart, box-to-box midfielder Caspar Jander is seeking an exit route from the club after only joining for £10.4 million from FC Nürnberg last summer.

Jander's value could have sky rocketed if the Saints were promoted back to England's top-flight, but are now facing the repurcussions of their actions as any fee received from a transfer is likely to be "significantly lower".

Several German clubs are looking to take advantage of Southampton's self-inflicted situation, with the 23-year-old's pending departure perhaps starting a fire sale.
