Southampton were booted out of the final after admitting to spying on their opponents, Boro, before the Championship play-off semi-final first leg.
The Saints have reportedly spied on multiple clubs this season in an attempt to gain a sporting advantage, with Middlesbrough replacing them, despite failing to beat Tonda Eckert's side over two legs.
In a completely bizarre scenario, Hull have been impacted the most by Southampton's actions, and many supporters feared the final wouldn't even go ahead this weekend.
As it stands, though, the EFL's showpiece event will kick off at 3:30pm UK time on Saturday, May 23 if it's Middlesbrough, or 4:30pm if the South Coast club are reinstated.
Southampton have appealed the decision to boot them out of the play-offs, and they will find out later on Wednesday if their appeal is successful.
