Southampton were kicked out of the Championship play-off final after admitting to spy on semi-final opponents Middlesbrough.

As it turns out, they had been doing it throughout the season, also coming clean for incidents involving Ipswich and Oxford United.
According to The Sun, Southampton players want Eckert, 33, to remain at the club, despite the fact he cost them a chance at promotion.
It remains to be seen whether the Southampton board agree, however, as they are yet to make a decision on his future.
