Pep Guardiola’s side beat Premier League rivals Arsenal and Aston Villa to Nypan’s signature for a reported fee of £12.5 million.
Now, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Nypan is set to join Championship side Middlesbrough on loan for the 2025-26 season.
It’s understood Nypan was keen on leaving the club temporarily in order to gain further first-team experience in English football.
