Championship side and promotion candidates Hull City have agreed a deal to sign United midfielder Collyer on loan until the end of the season in a deal that will be completed later this week.
"I think we will complete the deal for Toby this week," Jakirovic told Hull Live after the win over Preston North End on Tuesday night, pushing the side up to 4th behind Coventry, Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough.
Collyer featured in 12 games for West Brom in the first half of the season before he moved back to United due to a calf injury.
"With Toby Collyer we are waiting, but I think we have a green light from Man United and I think he will join us on Monday," said Jakirovic this weekend.
"This is what I know, but we have agreed everything with Man United. He will have a medical this weekend. He is now ready for training."
Collyer came through United's academy and United boss Michael Carrick and his coaching staff will be keeping a close eye on the youngster who will be hoping to keep the Tigers in the play off spots.
His contract at United runs until 2027 and this loan could be crucial to keeping him in contention for the first team, especially when a permanent manager steps in at the end of the season.
