The club’s administrators are set to receive new offers by Friday (March 5), with with prominent businessmen Ashley and David Storch emerging as leading contenders.
a consortium led by former professional poker player James Bord recently pulled out of the race having tabled an offer of £47.8 million for the club.
Ashley is best known for being the man who owned Newcastle United before eventually selling to Saudi Arabia back in 2021.
