Tottenham have banned multiple fans for Nazi salutes as they are hit with a fine from UEFA.

The club has been banned from selling tickets to away fans for one match in UEFA competition, which has been suspended for a probationary period of one year.

On top of this, UEFA sanctioned the London club for the behaviour, imposing a £26,212 fine for such behaviour which came against Frankfurt last month.

Tottenham released a statement on the incidents and confirmed that 3 fans have been banned.

“The Club has cooperated fully with UEFA's investigation, as well as with German police on the night and, subsequently, the Met Police.

“We can confirm that all three individuals found to be making Nazi salutes towards Eintracht Frankfurt fans have been identified and have received indefinite bans under the Club’s Sanctions and Banning Policy.

“The Club stands firmly against all forms of discrimination and has therefore taken the strongest possible action. The disgusting behaviour of a minority of so-called fans on the night is in no way reflective of the values of our Club and its supporters.”

This fine comes in addition to the £1,966 (2,250 euros) fine for objects thrown by their supporters as the club continues to struggle to stay out of trouble.

This comes after last month when Real Madrid launched an investigation after a supporter allegedly performed a Nazi salute before the club's Champions League clash against Benfica
