In midfield, both Frenkie de Jong (hamstring) and Gavi (arthroscopy) are also both out as the likes of Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Marc Casadó step in to fill the gaps.
Reports state that none of these players will be available for the second leg next week in what is a blow for manager Hansi Flick who will be aiming to avoid a major upset.
