Following their 3-0 loss to Club Brugge, Benfica were in need of just one more goal as they led Real Madrid 3-2.

Jose Mourinho decided to roll the dice, telling goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin to go up as Benfica had a freekick just outside of Real Madrid’s box.

Trubin then scored a remarkable 98th minute header to send the Portuguese side through at the expense of Marseille on goal difference.

Now, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, De Zerbi has decided to quit his job at Marseille following their dramatic elimination.

Speculation was had mounted in the morning after that the 46-year-old was in danger of losing his job. Marseille are yet to confirm.
