The Gunners ripped apart Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night in what was an emphatic win for Arteta’s side who are have been incredible both domestically and in Europe.
Arsenal are currently sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League table and are the strongest candidates to lift the title for the first time since 2003 in what would be a momentous occasion.
When questioned about their ability to compete on different fronts, Raya believes that it is the squad’s depth that allows them to fight for multiple trophies as Arteta chases down silverware.
"Yes, I think so. I think the depth of the squad is incredible.
"We have a lot of players and we have a lot of players that can play in two, three, four different positions. Like against Atletico, Mikel Merino came on as a striker and he can play as a No8, he can play as a No10.
"So, that's the variety that the boss has and he's using it for our advantage and for the best of the team. It's looking very, very good and that depth is very important for us.
"It also gives you an extra level in training and in games because if you're not at it every day, you can lose your spot in a fraction of a second. So, that gives that competitiveness in training and in games. That's really, really important, and everybody is on board with that."
After adding eight players at a cost of around £250M, Arsenal have conceded only one goal from open play this season. They have also have conceded just three goals in their first 12 matches, the fewest at this stage in the club’s 138-year history as they continue to crush every competition they play in.
