Mbeumo has made an immediate impact under manager Ruben Amorim since joining United from Brentford in the summer 2025 transfer window. The 26-year-old Cameroonian attacker has been a standout performer in October, scoring goals against Brighton and Liverpool whilst picking up an assist against Sunderland.
As announced by the club website, he has been named of the Premier League player of the month for the first time in what is a huge honour.
“For all his endeavours with Brentford, this is the first time that Mbeumo has won the overall divisional award.
“He is only the second Cameroonian to land the trophy, after former Liverpool defender Joel Matip, in February 2022.
“Our last victor in this field was Bruno Fernandes, as recently as March.
“Well done, Bryan!”
In his first 11 appearances, Mbeumo has already scored five goals and provided one assist as he forms relationships with his new attacking teammates in Benjamin Sesko, Amad, Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee.
His teammate Senne Lammens has also been nominated for the PFA Premier League Fans' Player of the Month award in what has been an impressive month for United who are on the up under Amorim ahead of this weekend’s clash with Tottenham.
