Ekitike scored in the 4-0 win which saw Liverpool reach the quarterfinals 4-1 on aggregate.
He later said, "I think we deserve to be here. We're really happy. I think we did a great job tonight. We could win 10-0 because we missed a few chances! But we still did a good job and we can be proud of us tonight. We can look forward to the quarter-final.
"I think we needed this. We missed a few chances at the end of the first half. Even myself when I sat in the locker room at half-time, I was thinking that we needed to keep this game. I had my chances and I could score more tonight, to be honest.
"But I had my chance and then I think we felt more free. Ryan (Gravenberch) scored straight away and I think it helped the team. Everybody did a great job running for each other and that's why we won tonight."
