Gala won the first-leg of their Champions League playoff 5-2 in Istanbul on Tuesday night.
Afterwards, Spalletti admitted: "We conceded three of the five goals due to misinterpretations that created difficulties.
"This always takes a toll on our personality and character. These games expose you, we've been exposed, we've slipped back a bit, and we have to react.
"Only one way (to recover): by coming back. You have to be careful; they have counterattacking players and fast players up front. You have to keep them tactically balanced."
Asked if he was concerned by the performance, Spalletti added: "I'm worried if I see my players not doing the right things, but if I see the right search and I see that they have the right personality, no.
"Tonight (yesterday, ed.) we took three steps backwards."
