Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique has ripped into his side after the 2-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon.

PSG were stunned by Sporting Lisbon as Luis Suarez scored twice, including a late winner to seal 3 points for the Portuguese side who jumped up to 6th place above Manchester City

Ousmane Dembele teed up PSG's equaliser and has now been directly involved in 16 goals in his last 17 Champions League games under Enrique who stated that he was impressed with his team’s performance despite the final result.

"We lost because they scored two goals. Our team only scored one,"

"The result is disappointing, it is a shame. I saw only one team in the whole match.

“We were superior to the opponent, who was very good. It is disappointing because it is unfair, it is difficult to talk about football right now. Sh*tty football.”

With 13 points, PSG have slipped to a provisional fifth place and risk slipping even further as they head into their final game against Newcastle United at home next Wednesday.

Enrique’s side need a positive result in their final Champions League group match to secure automatic qualification and avoid the playoff round in February which would be an awkward scenario for the champions.

PSG have top teams such as Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle, Chelsea and Barcelona all breathing down their necks heading into the final clash.
