United secured their first win since the end of October with a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon in what was a hard fought win for Amorim’s side.
Pressure has lifted off the Portuguese coach over the past several weeks, despite calls for him to be sacked earlier this season. United are now just three points outside the top four as they chase down Champions League football.
Beckham, who was present at the Qatar Grand Prix, spoke to Sky Sports about Amorim’s progress at the club and how he can see there is progress being made.
“I think there’s signs of the manager turning things around.
“He’s tweaked a few things and we are coming into a few better results but there’s still a long way to go and there’s still a few games that we’re not playing as we all like to see.
“But I think we’ve got a good manager there and he’s changing things slowly.”
United have tasted just one defeat through their last seven fixtures, winning four of those. Victory saw the Red Devils climb to seventh in the table, remaining three points off the top four, as Aston Villa beat Wolves.
Amorim’s side have already scored from a league-high 10 set pieces, the same amount as table-topping Arsenal, who are five points clear of Manchester City.
As United approach the top four, Amorim must keep a cool head and focus on the objective as he blocks out all the noise ahead of their next clash against West Ham United.
