Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has suggested Mohamed Salah may avoid Saudi Arabia.

Salah announced on social media this week that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season in what came as shock news to fans.

The Egyptian king has won every top trophy in his nine years at Anfield and will leave as a club legend that will never be forgotten by supporters.

No player has more Premier League goals and assists than Salah since his £34m move from Roma in 2017, and he is already been linked with several clubs ahead of the summer window.

Speaking on the winger’s future, Carragher suggests he could stay in Europe to better his Champions League record.

"I think Mo Salah, the way he's driven like a Ronaldo, I don't see the Saudi thing just yet.

"I can see him in Italy with one of the giants. I just think your career's over when you go there (Saudi Arabia). I think he'll still be looking at his Champions League record or how many goals he can get.

"I still think he thinks, 'I'm still one of the best players, and me leaving now is not the end of my top-level career, I've still got something to give'."

There are seven Premier League games of the campaign remaining as Liverpool and Salah focus on securing a Champions League spot as well as the FA Cup at the end of the season.
