Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has revealed that the haircut challenge from The United Strand is not relevant.

United beat ten-man Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Old Trafford at the weekend, taking their win streak under interim manager Michael Carrick to four.

Frank Ilet, the United Strand, is now just one United win away from getting a haircut in what has become a viral thread of videos as he waits for his side to reach 5 games on the bounce.

His last haircut came in October 2024 and with The Red Devils set to face West Ham United on Tuesday night in an away trip to the London Stadium, he could finally end the challenge.

Despite this, Fernandes was asked about the challenge and if he can book a haircut appointment to which he suggested that it is far from his mind.

"I don't really look at other people if they need to go to the hairdresser.

"That's not important for me."

United sit inside the Champions League qualification places, above both Liverpool and Chelsea and a win for the side means they can stay in that position.

This will be far more important to Fernandes ahead of the clash as he hopes to lead his side back to Europe after missing out this season following their Europa League loss to Spurs last year.
