Bodo/Glimt attacker Jens Petter Hauge says they can be proud of their 2-2 draw with Champions League opponents Tottenham.

Hauge scored twice on the night. The last time a Norwegian scored twice against an English side in a Champions League match was way back in March 2003. Jon Carew managed it for Valencia against Arsenal on that occasion.

Hauge said afterwards: "It was a really fun game. We played against a fantastic team, so I think we can be proud of what we showed today, and how we performed.

"It was amazing. I think that image is going to be with us forever. To see how the supporters were celebrating and motivating us throughout the whole game, it was an unbelievable feeling.

"It definitely gives us a lot of confidence. We played against a really strong team today, and we showed that we can really achieve something here. Now we have some league games ahead, and after the international break we'll be back in this competition, and there are going to be some more tough matches to come."

We showed high quality

Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen stated:  "We're showing high quality in our build-up play, but weren't sharp enough in the final third. We had a few chances, and we miss a penalty, which isn't good. But at half-time we still had a strong belief.

"When we go 1-0 and then 2-0 up, our biggest weakness, unfortunately, is that we're not brave enough to take advantage of the momentum after scoring. That's our momentum, not the opponent's.

"I'm a bit disappointed about that, but beyond that, I'm really proud of a lot of what we showed. I think we've proven that we can compete at the very highest level".
