Pavlidis insists Mourinho's public profile is nothing like he is behind closed doors.
He told Athletiko: "He's truly special. In press conferences he appears one way, but in everyday life he's completely different.
"Working with him is, first and foremost, a fantastic experience. In training, he's very demanding; he doesn't mess around. But as soon as you step off the pitch, he changes completely: he tells anecdotes, cracks jokes, jokes with us... He's unique."
Pavlidis also recalled a memorable moment before the Champions League match against Ajax: "I was with him in the press room and I felt like I was on YouTube, like when we used to watch his comments as as kids. Only this time it was all real, it was all right there in front of me."
He added, "The amount of experiences you can have in such a short time with someone like that is incredible. That's football."
