The former midfielder believes his ex-England teammate has the right temperament to guide the club through transition and secure Champions League qualification.
Carrick took charge after replacing Rúben Amorim on January 13 and has made an immediate impact. In 10 Premier League matches over 75 days, he has recorded seven wins, two draws, and just one defeat, averaging 2.30 points per game.
This form marks a sharp improvement compared to Amorim’s spell, where United managed eight wins, seven draws, and six losses from 20 league games before his dismissal, collecting only 31 points in total.
"Yeah, I must admit, the last few months have been a lot more comfortable than the last 10 years, to be honest,” Beckham said.
“ It’s been tough over that time. But I think Michael’s got experience. I think he’s got a calmness about him that he’s brought into the club. He knows the club. He knows the players. He knows the way Man United play and the way Man United should play."
