With one goal from the penalty spot, Kane's brace helped Bayern to a 3-1 triumph on Tuesday night.
The England captain said at the final whistle: "We played at a really high level today. With the ball we moved it quick, without it we had high intensity and pressed well. We were playing against a really tough side, who have some great players. But ultimately we deserved the win and it's a great start to the campaign.
"It was a nice couple of goals, it's always nice to score. The second goal is a nice finish. I found myself in a bit of space and was able to bend it in the far corner. Physically and mentally, this is the best I've ever felt. In this team, I know I'm going to get chances. I just have to keep taking them like I did tonight.
"Even at 3-1, we were the team with the ball making it hard for them with the press and creating angles. It's the type of thing that can demoralise their hope in a way. We created a couple of chances we could have done better with. It's pleasing to do that in a big game like this and we need to continue it throughout the season."
