Bale was reflecting on this week's Champions League defeat at Liverpool and he had a message for Real president Florentino Perez.

He said, "We missed the spark. We haven't seen (Kylian) Mbappé and Vinícius create that magic in the last third of the pitch that can change a match.
"It was disappointing not to see the quality expected of Real Madrid players.
"Sometimes they complicate plays too much. They should just try and put the defenders in difficulty: they are faster than anyone else on the pitch. But maybe they don't do it because there is no one in the area waiting for crosses.
"We need a real number nine.”
