Newcastle vs Barcelona

Atleti vs Tottenham

Bodø/Glimt vs Sporting CP

Leverkusen vs Arsenal

The new Champions League format many team’s potential run to the final was also mapped out as fans predict how far their side could go this season.

For example, for Liverpool to reach the final they must get past Turkish giants Galatasaray in the last 16, last year’s champions PSG or Chelsea in the quarter-finals, and then one of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atalanta or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will face Bayer Leverkusen in the last-16 before either Bodo/Glimt OR Sporting CP in the quarter-finals and Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in the semi-final.

The Gunners will have home advantage throughout the knockout phase thanks to a new rule implemented by UEFA at the start of the campaign as many argue that the Premier League leaders have the easier draw out of every English side.

Meanwhile, Newcastle will play Barcelona in the round of 16 before a potential showdown against Atletico or Spurs in the quarter-finals. The club’s semi-final opponents include Bodo/Glimt, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal.

Spurs could clash with Newcastle in the next round and then Arsenal in the semi-final whilst Manchester could face Bayern Munich and then one of Liverpool or Chelsea in the semi-final in what are some tough clashes.
