The Liverpool shot stopper has missed 19 games this season through injury or illness and has been missing for the last 10 games due to a hamstring issue which opened the door for Freddie Woodman and Giorgi Mamardashvili to step in.
The Brazilian is back in first-team training, and it had been hoped he could return in time to face Brentford this weekend as the Reds aim to secure Champions League football for next season.
Now, as Ancelotti revealed his Brazil side for the World Cup, he spoke on Alisson who was included despite not being 100% fit.
“Alisson is returning from injury but has been training for two weeks," he said. "He is doing normally, he is well, and I believe he will play the next game (for Liverpool).
“Even if he doesn’t play, he has the time to be 100% for the first game of the cup.”
Brazil are set to face Morocco (June 13), Haiti (June 20) and Scotland (June 24) in Group C for the opening stage, giving Alisson plenty of time to rest and recover as the season comes to a close.
"Praise the Lord for this convocation!" Alisson wrote on social media when the announcement was made.
"What a great honor to represent my country! A privilege, accompanied by a huge responsibility to wear this shirt! We will fight with all our might to find our dream sixth star! Let's go together."
Liverpool boss Arne Slot did confirm the goalkeeper had returned to training prior to the trip to Aston Villa last week, meaning he could return to face Brentford in the final league game on Sunday.
