Diomande, 19, enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 13 goals and registering nine assists in 36 games for RB Leipzig who are open to selling the teenager this summer.
The youngster only joined the German side last year from Leganes in the summer for £17M and it’s clear that he will be on the move once more this summer as Liverpool make their move.
The Athletic‘s David Ornstein has now reported Diomande “has emerged as a leading target” for the Reds, with reports claiming that a £87M fee has been set as the price tag to lure the talented winger away from the side.
Diomande is under contract until June 2030 but admits that a move to a bigger club is his goal as he seeks a big money move.
"Imagine people say you go to Chelsea or Real Madrid (as examples of big clubs) to do this job… you're going to be happy and motivated to do more," Diomande said earlier this month.
"I don't think about it too much because my focus is on the pitch, my job is playing football, that takes care of everything but it gives me a lot of motivation to see people talking about me."
Leipzig chairman and Red Bull head honcho Oliver Mintzlaff is said to be keen on keeping the winger but with Liverpool interested in replacing the departing Mohamed Salah, an £80M+ fee may be enough to tempt the German giants to sell.
