Started on the bench by coach Vincent Kompany on Saturday, Kane came on in the second-half to crash home a hat-trick inside a half-hour.
Kane came on for Nicolas Jackson in the 61st minute and took five minutes to get his name on the scoresheet, before scoring a second penalty in the 82nd minute and a hat-trick in the 88th.
Bayern thus defeated VfB 0-5 on the day.
At the final whistle, Kane said: "Coming on? It's something I'm not used to, but I've done it a couple of times this season.
"The coach wanted to keep me fresh and save energy. I came on after 60 minutes with a couple of other players, and we were able to exploit the space and get the goals."
