Before the season had started, an Opta supercomputer handed Bayern a 66.4% chance of winning the title once more under manager Vincent Kompany who has led his side to a perfect league start so far as they remain at the top of the table.
Out of the last 10 Bundesliga seasons, Bayern Munich won 9 of the titles, with Bayer Leverkusen breaking their streak in 2023-24. Many claim that the German top division is boring because of this as there is always a very strong chance that Bayern will lift the title once more.
Kane has dismissed claims that the 2025-26 campaign will result in a “boring” conclusion however and stated that if it is then all the credit should go to his side.
“I don't think it will be boring. And if it is, that's a compliment to us. Two years ago, people didn't say that either, when we didn't win the league.
“There's Dortmund, Leverkusen, Frankfurt, they'll challenge us. It's good to be at the top, I hope we can keep our foot on the gas!”
Bayern take on Chelsea in the Champions League this week as focus shifts away from the Bundesliga. Kane has hit eight goals through five appearances for Bayern at the start of the season and will be hoping to continue his form against The Blues who offer up a much bigger challenge than any Bundesliga opponent.
