The 42 reports Wolfsburg had an offer of €18m accepted by AZ last summer, but Parrott chose to remain in Alkmaar.
VfL are expected to try again for Parrott in January, though will face local competition from Freiburg.
For their part, AZ are expected to raise their valuation given the form of Parrott this season. The striker's deal runs to 2029.
