Despite the World Cup now just around the corner, an "exhausted" is ready to step down as national team coach.
However, for the moment, the Federation could yet reject Regragui's resignation and insist he take the team through the World Cup this summer.
While he feels a heavy responsibility for the final defeat, relations between Regragui and the Federation remain as strong as ever. Should they insist, Regragui would be prepared to carry on.
