The Barcelona and Inter Milan hero has been hit hard by the incidents that occurred during the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final match between Morocco and Cameroon.
The match, won 2-0 by Morocco on January 9, prompted a furious reaction from Eto'o, who lost his temper and expressed his displeasure with his Moroccan counterpart, Fouzi Lekjaa, and CAF president, Patrice Motsepe.
The situation did not escalate thanks to the intervention of several spectators to calm him down.
For this reason, Samuel Eto'o was fined $20,000 and suspended for four matches. The Cameroonian Football Federation responded by calling the decision "devoid of any explicit justification" and is prepared to appeal.
