Burnley’s Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni have returned to training, but manager Scott Parker has cautioned that neither is ready to be recalled just yet.

Roberts has missed the season so far with an Achilles injury, while Amdouni has been sidelined after tearing a cruciate knee ligament.

Both players are making steady progress, and taking part in training marks an important step forward as they work toward full fitness.

However, ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Bournemouth, Parker emphasized that they are still not ready for match action.

“You see a photograph of them on social media these days and instantly people think they're ready. These guys aren’t ready yet, they're some weeks away,” Paker told the media.

“They've missed a lot of football. They're in the early stages of coming back, which is a positive.

“Marcus has been training this week, Flemming as well has been training this week.

“We'll have to see if they're fully up to speed to go into a full game where they've had some reduced training minutes on the grass. But we'll make that decision closer to Saturday.”
