Enzo Maresca has reportedly been offered a two-year contract by Man City to take over from Guardiola, and as a new era begins, the Cityzens could wave goodbye to several superstars.
Two of the 2022/23 treble-winning team, Bernardo Silva and John Stones, are already leaving the club once their contracts expire in June, and Rodri could follow them out of the Etihad Stadium.
According to Marca's print publication, Rodri is "very keen" to wear the Real Madrid shirt following the news of Guardiola's departure, with the Spanish club believing a transfer could be "viable".
The 29-year-old has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the world during his time at City, and he was even cemented as the best after winning the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
Sadly, with his contract expiring in June 2027, it is possible that Man City cash in on the 61-cap Spain international, although the club are set to offer him a new deal.
