The CAF General Assembly is scheduled for October, while the awards date remains unconfirmed.
Nigeria last hosted the CAF Awards in 2017 in Abuja, while the General Assembly was last held in the country in 2009 in Lagos.
The move also ends Morocco’s four-year run as host of the awards ceremony.
